A 20% across the board price cut has been applied to all of our watchstraps - carp, salmon and shark. This includes the 5 carp plus 1 salmon watchband sampler package. The quantity discounts still apply to the individual watchstraps.

A website page previously entitled "About Cabezon Fish Leather" has been replaced by a page entitled Developing Your Brand. This emphasizes that we are really not marketing any particular brand, but are giving you the opportunity to use the end product of what was developed through this tanning technology.

We have a stock of red-orange salmon skins which have been added to the Salmon Stocklots page.
Also, a limited quantity of large or extra-large suede carp skins are now available, bundled in threes, in a few select colors, and these are offered on the Other Samplers page.

The Large to Extra-Large suede perch skins are a minimum length of 20 inches, not 22 inches as previously described.

A page to highlight the different Types of Finishes has been added. Once the tanning process has removed the scales and odor from the fish, any of these types of finishes can be created. However, we do not have all the finishes in stock in large quantities.

A couple of offerings to include silk swatches have been added. The Silk Fish Leather Packet Sample includes a whole silk skin plus 20 swatch colors, with a $10 credit toward a $50 order, and the Glazed, Suede and Silk Fish Leather Packet Sample includes a whole skin in each of the 3 finishes, plus 50 swatch colors in the different finishes, with a $30 credit toward an order of $150.
Samplers of our sea bass skins are now offered, as a 5 Skin Glazed Sea Bass Sampler and a 5 Skin Suede Sea Bass Sampler. They are similar in size and shape to the salmon and carp, with the scale patterns being more of a rectangular shape.

Some color options have been added on the ordering pages for 5 Skin Perch samplers (silk and glazed), and 10 Skin Suede and Glazed Samplers.
An offering of Large to Extra-Large suede perch skins has been added. These are a minimum of 22 inches long and widths (at the widest) may be up to 10 inches. These are offered in selected colors, or a variety, and are bundled in packages of 3. Pictures of some have been added to the Carp and Perch page.

We are having a Fall promotion, until October 15 of 20% off of the web price on any Factory Seconds suede package, that is regularly priced at $100 USD or higher. On a quantity of 50 Factory Seconds, the sale price works out to $2 USD per skin! These are a great choice for making trim or small items.

The Stocklots by Specific Colors category has contained much overlap, because of similar pricing for different colors.
To reduce this redundancy, Stocklot Pictures are now shown on a page in the Colors and Samplers section, and colors can now be selected from a drop-down list, for the different stocklot quantities - 25, 50, 100 or 200.

The Samplers section has been re-organized, and we are now offering sample packages of 5 full skins. Both the 5 skin and 10 skin carp sampler packages are now selectable in over 20 glazed color varieties and over 15 suede color varieties.
Perch and salmon are now offered separately in 5 skin sampler packages - salmon in suede or glazed finishes, and perch in suede, glazed or silk finishes.

We are offering 35% off on all our watchbands or watchband packages until July 31. These include the Ladies Belt and Watchband, Mens Belt and Watchband, and the 5 carp plus 1 salmon watchband sampler package. The 35% off will be applied in addition to the volume discounts on watchbands.

Some new pictures have been added to our apparel ideas and accessories ideas pages. These are just a few more design ideas for shoes, handbags and other items.
We are now offering our suede factory seconds in a choice of the type of fish, for quantity packages of 10 or 25. Select between carp, perch, salmon or a mixture, in color groups of black, blue, brown, green, light colors, red, or a variety.

Our shipping options have improved. The Canada Post shipping rates now show correctly in US dollars, instead of Canadian dollars, when the selected currency is US Dollar. Also, we are now able to offer some better pricing on Fedex shipping. For Fedex International Priority shipments, weighing between 3 kg. - 10 kg., the Fedex rate discount is now increased from 25% to 40%. This will usually be of benefit for skin orders over 125 glazed, or 150 suede. The discount does not show on-line, but the transaction cost will be adjusted. On the Samplers page, we are now offering bags of suede cut-offs. The pieces are in a mixture of sizes and colors. The small size is based on a weight of 150 grams, and the large is 300 grams.

Note: The shipping costs that are calculated may be inaccurate when more than 1 item is ordered. This is because the shipping calculation assumes a fixed dimensional package size, but items are usually combined into 1 package to save shipping cost. To get a more accurate estimate, for example, of shipping cost on 2 different 25 suede skin stocklots, enter a 50 suede skin stocklot first, and once the shipping cost is retrieved, remove the item from your cart. The post-authorized amount for the transaction is always adjusted for the actual shipping charge.

If you purchase any Sampler or Stocklot package before April 15, we will discount a second similar item to 50% off of the web price. The second item can be the same item, or any other in the same category. The lesser priced of the 2 items becomes discounted. There is no quantity limit for ordering. The offer is extended to factory seconds, also. If ordering on-line, the discount is not automatically calculated, but will be applied before your transaction is post-authorized.

Mens and ladies co-ordinated belt and watchband combination packages have been added to the Samplers section. For men, these are available in abalone blue, deep blue lagoon, magenta, mermaid green and sea urchin. For women, these are available in purple, sapphire and sunrise.

The silk finish samplers are now being offered in 20 different colors, or in a color variety. We have also added an offering of metallic color skins, in a silk finish, to the Samplers section.
There is a promotion until the end of February of 30% off of the web price on any suede stocklot, in assorted colors, color groups, or specific colors. If ordering online, the discount will be applied before your pre-authorized transaction is post-authorized.

As progress is being made in sorting our large inventory into color groups and specific colors, our website has been updated to offer stocklot pricing on specific colors, replacing what was previously referred to as "Preferred Colors" stocklots.
Our offering of Factory Seconds now includes the major color groups - reds, blues, greens, browns, light colors, or an assorted variety. An offering of glazed Factory Seconds has been added.
We have also added to our Sampler section, to offer some of the fancier finishes that our leather has been manufactured in, which includes high grain glazed finishes, as well as silk, pearlized and foil finishes. We stock these in smaller quantities than our usual glazed and suede skins.
This page will be updated from time to time, to let you know if there are significant changes on our website. A video to give you further information on the colors that our skins are offered in, is expected to be added shortly.
