Leathercraft

According to Merriam-Webster, crafting means “to make or produce with care, skill, or ingenuity”. Typically, crafting might be associated with knitting, scrapbooking, or beading, as a few examples. Leathercraft is also a form of craft.

While other types of leather might have pre-dated fish leather, the unique natural scale patterns of the fish lend themselves to original designs of a variety of accessory types.

Each of our leather types have distinctive scale patterns. Salmon have the smallest scale patterns, carp have larger scale patterns – with some having a more ruffled appearance, perch scale pockets are a bit larger than salmon, and sea bass have a squarish scale pattern.

Some leathercraft works have been pictured on the Customer’s Creations page and also on Google Photos.

Pictured here are some leathercraft kits that were created by Help Heal Veterans, as part of their therapeutic crafts program.
